“I’ve had the privilege of knowing and working alongside Diane Ruiz for over a decade through our shared work in the Texas State Employees Union. In that time, I’ve seen firsthand her unwavering dedication to Texas state workers. Whether it’s fighting for long-overdue pay raises, advocating for better healthcare benefits, or standing up against the CWOP crisis in DFPS, Diane always shows up. She’s spoken truth to power, lobbied legislators at the Capitol, and never backed down from a tough fight, especially when it meant standing up for her fellow state workers.
